Ohio Medicaid has many programs and initiatives to enhance the quality of care for patients and support our providers in the work they do each day. Current programs include:
Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) uses electronic visit verification for some home and community-based services. EVV is an electronic system that verifies key information about the provision of these services. EVV requirements apply to both agency and non-agency providers of these services. This work meets requirements in the Federal 21st Century Cures Act.
Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) Program
ODM is committed to developing and implementing payment methodologies that cut waste and reflect value. The agency's Comprehensive Primary Care program provides enhanced services while using a payment model designed to increase access to this type of care. The CPC Program is among several payment innovation activities ODM is pursuing to pay for value over volume.
Specialized Recovery Services (SRS) Program
The Specialized Recovery Services program currently serves individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness, a chronic condition, and/or individuals who are active on the solid organ or soft tissue transplant waiting list. Services available through the SRS program include recovery management, individualized placement and support, and peer support. Individuals eligible for the SRS program also receive full Medicaid coverage.
