The Hospital Benefits and Financial Management Section consists of two units: the Hospital Benefits unit and Financial Management unit.
The Hospital Benefits Unit is responsible for the development of policies and reimbursement strategies for hospital-level services. This would include the development of the relative weights used for hospital reimbursement and implementation of the Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP).
The Financial Management Unit is responsible for reviewing cost reports, calculating rates and Interim and Final Settlements for hospitals, clinics, state-owned developmental centers and CAFS providers.
