Population Health and Quality
The Ohio Medicaid Quality Strategy is central to guiding our ongoing mission to improve health outcomes for Ohioans through innovation.
Population Health and Quality

The Ohio Department of Medicaid takes a population health approach to improving the health and wellness of Ohio residents by grouping our Medicaid population into the following streams: Healthy Children & Adults, Women and Infant Health, Behavioral Health, Chronic Physical & Developmental Conditions, and Older Adults.

Through innovative payment arrangements, quality improvement partnerships, and data each population stream’s desired health improvements will be achieved.

This document outlines the various ODM initiatives that are helping Ohio Medicaid to achieve its goals and continue to reform the health care landscape across Ohio.
