PASSPORT Waiver Amendment 09/01/2021
The Pre-admission screening system providing options and resources today (PASSPORT) waiver amendment reflects reimbursement rate increases as a result of Ohio’s recently passed biennium budget. Rate increases are applicable to specific home and community base and adult day services provided under the PASSPORT waiver benefit package.

Public Notice and Request for Comment

Pursuant to the provision of title 42 Sections 441.301 and 441.304 of the Code of Federal Regulations, public notices are required for any of the following: new 1915(c) waiver, new 1915(i) state plan amendment, renewal of a 1915(c) waiver, and any amendment to a 1915(c) waiver that includes one or more substantive changes.

Purpose

The purpose of the amendment is to include language in the Financial Accountability appendix of the waiver application relative to the Ohio biennium budget initiative to increase reimbursement rates for specific home and community based and adult day services in the PASSPORT waiver.  As a result, adjustments were also made to cost neutrality projections for waiver services beginning in waiver year 4.

As part of the waiver amendment process, the public can comment on the proposed amendment. The public comment period is September 1 - September 30, 2021. Comments must be received by midnight on September 30, 2021 and can be submitted by:
